| | Military Traditions infoI am an old (75 years) LtCol/Norwegian Army/Infantry. As a young captain I served with the UN Emergency Force in Gaza. I left the army in 1968, but am still interested in military history and tradition. This is in fact why I found this site. I am collecting informations about traditions around the world, military primarely, but also other traditions are of interest. Tell me about your unit´s traditions. It will be appreciated! Bamse |

Welcome to the forum! ![]() There are plenty of stories around here, and a few people I'm sure you will enjoy talking with. "The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, is directly proportional to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated." ~George Washington |

Welcome aboard, Bamse. "It doesn't take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle." - Norman Schwarskopf, Commander of Desert Storm Operations |
