| Milites Gregarius | Post; military issue bootsSpeed lace boots, side zip boots, or the famous tank boot? My personal opinion on this subject is the tanker boot because it has neither laces or a zipper. it has belts and buckes and i think this is better because laces can fray and break and zippers can also break. yes belts can break, but not as often because there is less friction between the boot and belt. So i think that these are more efficient to use even with infantry. |

| Centurion | Post; Speed lacers....Try humping 30 in tank boots, I prefer the speed lacers. My actual first issue were the old style combats and jungles, the speed lacers were a godsend when they came out!

| Centurion | I trod 3 a day (hey, it's all I can manage without dying, besides, it's better than nothing, right?) in 'nam-style combat boots, anything would be a godsend for me. |

| Milforum Moderator ![]() | I am a big fan of jungle boots. In the summer they are quick to dry. In the winter, I am happy with any boot that is dry. In 4 years with the Infantry, I don't think I ever had my boot laces break |
