The better tank is the Merkava. But the Type 99 can still kill the Merkava

Any given day... depends on terrain and troops. I say with all things being equal with a Chinese crew in the T-99 and an Israeli crew in the Merkava, the Merkava will kill the T-99 more often than not.

Yes, it's probably one of the most survivable. It's glacis and side armor is probably better then any other tank and the crew can exit through the rear without getting machine gunned.

The Type 99 isn't even in full production yet, which is why I kind of balked at putting it on here, I figured that it should at least get a mention lest I be accused of ignoring China and being yet another fat, arrogant American.

Sorry, communist training and production qualities doesn't ome close to the free world. Israel has this one beat.
