The figure posted on a TV interview here two nights ago was US$23 Billion, that's 123 tons of bundled $100 notes. All of which actually belonged to Iraq, being confiscated assets. Only $3Billion remained to be handed over to the elected Government when they took power.

A US Government appointed adviser stated that none of this money belonged to the US. There are now many individuals and contract companies being investigated.

The results will make interesting reading.
