Maybe True, Maybe not info

This story was related to me by a LT in the Artillery. Seems one day, during a field excercise, this Lt was part of the OCs (observer control) and they happened across a few soldiers sitting down, having a grand old time. The thing was, the soldiers were only wearing their MILES gear and Halo (for those in the dark, the MILES and halo gear are the "laser tag" equipment utilized for training excercises to simulate live fire). Well, sufice to say, the OCs were not happy. They screamed and fussed and hollered. One of the soldiers held up a hand to slow the tirade long enough to withdraw the "blue book", the small, portable uniform reg issued out for the excercise. Opening it up to a particular page, he showed it to the OCs. It simply stated that the MILES and Halo were the uniform for the excercise, never stating a thing about the rest of the uniform. Probably because that was implied. Well, the OCs were dumbfounded. According to the Regs, these guys were still in uniform.

I have heard him speak of the Ireland he wished to see. When he struck the spark on the anvil, he struck the anvil in my heart. When I leave school, the only pursuit I want to engage in is the winning of the freedom of my country. Michael Collins
