The K98 is a great rifle....And it's still in use.....By the Israeli Civil Guard....Just thought youd like this pic....

This is a Civil Guard volunteer sniper. The pic was taken at Gilo, a suberb of Jerusalem that was under Palestinian sniper, rifle and LMG fire for weeks during 2001-2002. Notice that behind the nice old guy with the K98 there are 2 IDF M-60 Main MBTs....

yeah K98 is a very good rifle,very reliable too..........not suprised its steel in use
