Me and my friend are ganna join the marines at the same time. I was wondering if we would be training together? I want to go into sniping but he wats to go into infantry is there still a chance that we will be together on the field or something?
 
Seeing as snipers are generally selected from the Infantry, I'd say the chances are good that you and your friend will be training together for quite some time.
 
Contact a recruiter about the BUDDY program. That will allow you and your friend to be in the same platoon in most cases during boot camp. From there there aren't any guaruntee (MOS school / SOI).


Also ALWAYS capitalize Marine.
 
Sniper is not a MOS.
It is a filthy but necessary job.

You might get a chance in a few years depending on how well you do as am Infantryman.
Ther is a lot more to it than backshooting somebody a mile away.
