| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Post; M3I just love this german amphibious.. rig.. boad.. truck.. bridge? Err, what ever it may be called!! http://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/ese/ese_m3ar.htm Saw it on discovery yesterday, and its just awsome. they took 8 of those and formed a bridge in just 9 minutes. 2 of those can be put togather to form a ferry, taking a Leopard 2. They are driven by a hydra jet (is that correct?) and can turn 360 degrees (well, round and around and around and so on, what i ment is that it can turn like a tank, but in the water), really fast!! Its my new favorite military craft In german: http://www.panzerbaer.de/helper/bw_amphfz_m3.htm Some nice images if you do not understand german EDIT: don't really know if its a german design or if its a british design EDIT2: Aparently made in Germany

| Primus Pilus | The equipment shown above are used for amphibious operations, if not, quite possibly for crossing large lakes, rivers, crossing one land mass to another. The original design is I believe is British.

| Primus Pilus | Yes, I was quite amazed of the effeciency and the practical use. It is a very important asset for the German Army in the battlefield. However, there are people who don't share my beliefs. |
