WHILE we were stationed with the Army in Stuttgart, Germany, the post was told that the general had an important speech to give and that attendance was mandatory. After all units were assembled on the baseball field, the general made his way to the podium. "I guess you're all wondering why I called you here today," he began. Then, searching for his prepared speech and not finding it, he continued, "You know, I'm wondering the same thing."
