Kunsan receives upgraded fighters

10/5/2007 - KUNSAN AIR BASE, South Korea (AFPN) -- The 8th Fighter Wing received its initial group of Block 40 F-16 Fighting Falcons here this week under the Common Configuration Implementation Program.

The aircraft arrival marked the first group of upgraded F-16s flown to Korea. The aircraft were flown here from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, by members of Kunsan's 80th Fighter Squadron.
