A few years ago Bob Dole ran for President. When he did he stepped down from his seat in the Senate. When Kerry ran for President he did not step down, he stayed in office and did nothing related to that office while he was working on getting elected.

If he needed a fall back position when running for the highest office in the land what makes anyone think that he would resign for being an idiot (or in PC terms an ID-10T)?
