Last night I watched a gig on TV with Katie Melua when it struck me that she was actually playing 303 meters below sea level in one of the supporting legs of the Troll A Platform in the North Sea

She has later described the gig as "the most surreal gig I have ever done" and the gig was indeed surreal and one of the best I've ever seen.

Crazy but a really good concert. She must have had some good nerves playing 303 meters below sea level - I waited for the walls to collapse and flood the scene, but fortunately that didn't happen. There are more pics from the concert on her web page - she is gorgeous but sort of looks sad all the time. Perhaps just me.

that's pretty cool.. yeah.. she is a hottie.

Can we hook her up for the March session in DC?
