Well Monty, it just goes to prove that the answers depend on what experts you listen to, because it made the news here, and since that time it has completely dropped off the radar. When was the last time you heard someone quoting the hole in the ozone layer as a measurement of the damage CFCs were doing to the atmosphere.

True but just because different experts report the same problem to differing degrees doesn't mean the problem ceases to exist.

There is a lot in the global warming/cooling argument that we don't understand but because Al Gore chooses to not use energy saving light bulbs is not a valid reason to accept the word of conspiracy theorists over science.

But it does give us an alternative that we can believe according to what we see, which was my point.

It is neither clear cut nor are the predictions of the egg heads always correct.

I tend to view scientists somewhat more pragmatically than those who would run around stating that the world is doomed.
