AP - A doctor accused of pledging to treat al-Qaida members can be prosecuted because medical care counts as material support to terrorists under federal law, a judge said Tuesday.

Well, Dr. Mudd did go to Prison for giving John Wilkes Booth medical assistance after Booth shot President Lincoln.... perhaps Dr. Rafiq Abdus Sabir's name will soon be Mudd.

While it would save the US Taxpayers money, I believe the US Military wants a crack at them first to see if they want to offer up any Intel.
