First photo shows JFK looking at the AR-15 (before the US Army adopted the rifle it was adopted by the USAF. It was still called the AR-15.) As for the crossbow... it's not a Montanyard design. Looks commerical.



The second is JFK's sales receipt from the CMP. Its a sales receipt for a M1 Garand Rifle. He ordered one back when he was a Senator. Would be nice if a current president did the same but sadly the political atmosphere has chained big time.... No president in the last twenty years would have ordered a rifle through the mail.
