I don't get it, we have infantry in Afghanistan that is supporting the US military troops already - now if our aircrafts supports any US unit they must be withdrawn?

The left faction within the Socialist Left Party (SV) demands that the Norwegian jet fighters which are sent to Afghanistan must be withdrawn if they assist US forces in their warfare in that country.

A resolution adopted at the party's Central Committee this weekend, states that the Norwegian military aircraft must under no circumstances become a part of the US warfare in Afghanistan.

- This means that the Norwegian jet fighters must be withdrawn if they assist the US operations, says SV cental committee member Tine Aasgaard.

- If the F16 aircraft are used in connection with the US-led Operation Enduring Freedom, then we are of the opinion that it would be natural for SV as a member of the coalition government to reconsider its support for NATO's ISAF-operations in Afghanistan anew, Aasgaard says to NRK.

- We hope that we through this resolution are sending a very strong signal to the Government about what SV see as acceptable or not for us to participate in in Afghanistan, she says.

SV-leader Kristin Halvorsen, also Finance Minister in the new coalition government, says this resolution and opinions she will take back to the Government.

Very confusing message?

Next, they will be sitting on the floor dividing bullets into two stacks. One stack can be used to support the war but the other cannot.

Wow, that's rediculous. God help Norway if she has to defend herself with leaders like that at the helm.

if they withdraw "jet fighters" what are they supposed to bring in?
