Four jeep prototypes are located at Fort Economy, Sam Werner military museum.
The museum is located south of Columbus Ohio USA.
The address is 6587 St. Route 180, Hallsville, Ohio.


A Crosley
A Chevrolet
A Kaiser
A Willys

I was lucky enough to view these 8-21-2009.

It would be interesting to see if there is any information on these rare vehicles.

The Jeep was designed, & a few built, by American Bantam. The Govt then decided that Bantam didn't have the production capacity to get the job done & cut them out of the deal. Contracts went to Willys, Ford & (?). After the War Willys won the Rights to the name & product.

In the end Bantam won,but was produced by FORD and WILLYS
I heard that Willys first models was writing Willys logo and was judjed by govt after no models had a logos ... (Not really nice story)
