Do they carry any firearms for personal protection? I am aware that Japan cannot send it's forces into war unless it is attacked. But what about personal defense for humanitarian missons?

That's why they need the Australians in Al Muthanna and Samawah. We are protecting the Japanese soldiers. Kinda ironic if you ask me.

Umm...I don't want to rude. Why do Japanese soldiers have many flags of their national flag? 2 flags on their arms, one is for front, one is for back, and one is for on their helmet. Why that is many flags on their uniforms?

I don't want to be rude either, but the flags kinda look like they want to encourage enemies doing target practice :s

It is opposite.
People do not mistake a Japanese army for the U.S.Army.
so they have many flags and wear green uniform.

This makes sense, but I meant that the Japanese flag has a big red circle in it.
