| Tribunus Laticlavius | The moment that Germany invaded the USSR, they were committed to that conflict as their primary objective. Japan was committed to "never bloodying our nose against the USSR again". So when Germany invaded the USSR, most of the possibilities for strong cooperation between Germany and Japan were put on hold. Had Germany been successful in overcoming the Soviets, they would have been in far better position to work together against the USA and the UK. Especially the UK and their empire. With Germany striking into Africa and from the West of India and Japan coming from the East, the British Empire could have found itself in trouble very quickly. Take away Africa, Australia and India and if the British Isles are still standing, they are severely weakened in terms of resources. The USA is problematic since their strength and resources are all inside the USA and they are protected by Oceans.

| Optio | I think they agreed to respect one another's dominance in their respective regions: Germany over Europe and Africa, and Japan over the Far East. It also looks like they shared intelligence information on potential enemies. They helped each other spy. As for war materials, there was probably some trade. |

| Primus Pilus | Germany gave Japan allot of advanced technology. When Germany surrendered I believe they had a sub heading to Japan loaded with uranium and German engineers and scientist. |

| Centurion | They just allied because Germany wanted America down. So they allied Japan. Can't really communicate much from that far away. |

They may have shared intelligence but you may know that Germany's intelligence network was greatly compromised for most of WW2 although I'm not sure if Japan's was affected the same way. As far as war materials go I don't think there could have been much trade simply because by far the largest country in the world seperated them and she was hostile. There were no air corridoors and the sea lanes were very long, contested and hardly practical in peacetime never mind in war. | |

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Towards the end when Hitlers Germany was dying it is said alot of technology was snuck to Japan. It is even said before war broke out information was shared between the two. I have also heard that Sub theory but did't it like end somehow with the sub being destoyed or something?

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | The sub thing is true, I don't remember if it was sunk or captured but the nazis did send a U-Boat full of nuclear material and scientists to japan. They also shared technology, but the Japanese never really could make anything out of the jet propulsion and missile technology before the end of the war. |

| Primus Pilus | It made it there in one piece. The allies sunk a sub or more but they missed the most important one. I believe the Japanese were confused with the surrender and they took the Germans as POW's while on the sub. Sorry, I seen this on the history channel awhile back so I don't remember exactly what happened. |
