| Banned ![]() | Post; Re: Italy says stress and inexperience of US soldiers playedWe'll never know what really happened. The Italian report claims that there were no signs, no warnings, no warning shots, while the American reports claim all that was there/happened. Pro-war people will believe the American report while anti-war people (like me) choose to believe the Italian one. But I'm not totally convinced that the Italian report is completely true and the American one is utterly false. Both probably include some truths and some falsities. |

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | its a very emotional issue, of course the Italian press are going to blame the US and naturally the US are going to say its an unfortunate accident as with most things, the truth will be covered well over and it will eventually fall out of the media spotlight

In the first place, to fulfil a solemn international obligation . . . an obligation of honor which no self-respecting man could possibly have repudiated. I say, secondly, we are fighting to vindicate the principle that small nationalities are not to be crushed in defiance of international good faith at the arbitrary will of a strong and overmastering Power. | Milforum Hitman | Thank you Xion. I ask you guys to be a bit less humorous on this, please. A hero died for an accident, so easy with kidding him. The hateful thing is that he died to save the life of a woman who writes on a communist paper every day and attacks the US and protects the terrorists. But Locke- why do you assume that of coursethe Italian press will lay the blame on the US?

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Correct me if im wrong, but this "rescue" invovled giving the kidnappers 50 million dollars. I consider that giving in to demands not a "rescue." That 50 million is probally going to be used to kill Americans, what happend was tragic, but i dont care for the methods of "rescue" that will probally cost multiple American lives. |
