Post; Italy ready to lead Lebanon force if Europe commits


ROME (Reuters) - Italy is ready to lead a U.N. force in southern Lebanon if its European partners commit themselves to the operation, which the Italian opposition warned on Monday could prove to be a "kamikaze" mission.

But it is typical, Europe on the whole loves top whinge about the US playing world cop but when they think it should be done and SAY they will they never actually do a friggin thing but talk. France was supposed to be leading on this and now where are they? And they wonder why they are the butt of so many jokes... go figure.
