Seems our Austrian friends have (legally) exported a quantity of
their .50 BMG rifles to Iran. Said rifles were immediately,
magically, transported to Iraq. And even though Iran denies
supporting Iraqi insurgents, one of these rifles was used to kill an
American officer in Iraq a mere 45 days after it arrived in Iran.

Austrian sniper rifles that were exported to Iran have been discovered
in the hands of Iraqi terrorists, The Daily Telegraph has learned.
More than 100 of the.50 calibre weapons, capable of penetrating body
armour, have been discovered by American troops during raids.
