Post; Introduction

Greetings. I am a retired O-6 (Col.) with 20 years active duty as a physician. My interest is in any political initiatives that pressure the government to maintain the quality of our excellent US Military. I am concerned about recent cuts in combat pay and cuts in veterans benefits. I am concerned about the low pay of our enlisted men and women. They live on shamefully inadequate incomes and bear the major risks in combat. Congratulations and thanks to all who have served and are serving in our two wars, Afghanistan and Iraq.
