I belive they are.

Is it payback that we see at the hillside near the end of the movie?
Those guys could really need some ALR support if they don't already got some.

I think so. One of them was commenting something like "That's our guys smokin' that mountain over there".

I think some bases in Iraq have it. The technolgally is being developed to zap the mortars out of the sky though. Which is really cool.
