If the parents are detained and deported the minor child can be deported with the parents as well but they retain citizenship.
they still are illegal. its just that they wont be deported as soon/if at all if they have a kid that is born in america.

Huh Yeah. I think I said the parents are still Illegal right?

You want to blame someone blame the policy makers that hand cuff ICE. ICE can only detaine minors at a juvenile facility rated by ICE. Generally found only in Metro areas. If they don't have acess to a JDC then the minor must be deported that day, the parents must go with them. So if your talking a family getting detained in Iowa that means 3 commericial Airline tickets for the family plus 2 for escorting agents.
