hello my name is Scott , i have found three large caliber empty shells
none are of the same weapon or the range is different.
They read 3 inch 50 cal -mk-3-mod-3 N.S-1942-jrd LOT197
ALL SAME ---------------------------------------- LOT 198
The last reads 75 mm -shell m48 bb-l-362 bb.co.1944 LOT sud 50 8-9.

Very curious as to what may have fired these.
Thank you very much for any insight you might have.

At an opening guess I would say the first two are from a 3″/50 caliber dual purpose naval gun like this...

The third one sounds like a standard 75mm M-48 HE shell, they were fairly common and used in many guns from Anti-Aircraft to the Sherman tank, my guess on this one given the first two shells is that you have three naval anti-aircraft rounds.
