I agree, Seno. Not liking me will always be your problem. Never mine. |

Might suck for his great-grandchildren if we're still around in 100 years.

Interesting Theory. No proof to back it up and it seems that since he is 95, he is not likely to see his theory proven or dis proven.
Gunner. Sabot. Sniper. Is not an appropriate use of ammunition. |

| | The term Anthropocene is used by some scientists to describe the current period in the Earth's history when human activities have had a significant global impact on the Earth´s ecosystems. The term was coined in 2000 by the Nobel Prize-winning atmospheric chemist Paul Crutzen, who regards the influence of human behavior on the Earth in recent centuries as so significant as to constitute a new geological era. Use of this concept as an official geological concept gained support in early 2008, with publication of two new papers supporting this idea. I wouldn't be surprised if some other scientist had argued the same thing 100 years ago. I highly doubt the human race will die out completely in 100 years, without anything very drastic happening to Earth itself of course. Then again, I know I'd be extinct in 100 years though. I think it’s a mater of faith more than it’s science. |

I wonder what happened to "the world will end in 2000" fringe, do they have space for one more?

A 100 years is perhaps a bit rash, but there surely will be serious problems with the current global population growth. But these problems solve themselves in the end and the strongest, most able will probably survive. It's social Darwinism all over again.... interesting.
