Topic: How do you feel about homosexuals in the military?

Before any misunderstandings arise: I absolutely do not have a problem with homosexuals in any way.
The subject came up in another topic, so I thought I'd start this topic.

What do you think and what's the official policy like where you come from?

I don't see any reason why not to. If they are citizens they should be allowed the right to serve in the military.

They're just like everyone else, so why can't they defend their country like everyone else? I don't mind homosexuals in the military.

They are allowed to serve in the military as long as they are not open about their orientation. "Don't ask, don't tell".

I'm sorry, but I'm locking this one.

This is a very "touchy" and emotional subject for many, and a thread like this can easily "turn bad".
The question was ok 1217, but I'm not taking any chances here right now.
