Lowa combat GTX's,however for jungle use Altama ripple soles.
Ive no idea about desert use,all the time I spent in the desert I wore Dms high legs and my feet got in a right state!

Any recommendation for a pair of good jungle boots that are water prooof?

I think a fast-dry boot is much better than a waterproof one in the jungle.
