Hi,

I'm 22 (on saturday 23

) years old german college student. When I finished shool in 2002 I served my one year of military service in a infantry unit. If somebody knows, it was the Jägerlehrbatallion 353 in Hammelburg.

At the end of my service I had to decide if I should stay in the Bundeswehr or go to University and study. I took the last possibility. And now I study Chemistry in Heidelberg.

This week I found this forum an now I try to participate as good as I'm able.

I'm sorry if my english is not the best, but my last lesson was already three years ago :P

Jägerlehrbatallion 353 in Hammelburg, that unit sounds awfully familiar to me. Can't remember where or when I've heard of it.

Maybe you heart of it because the German School of the Infanterie and the 'Einzelkämpfer-lehrgang' is also there.

Oh right. Thanks for reminding me.

I've never been to Hammelburg unfortunetly. But one of my colleagues say it is a very beautiful town, especially during the Spring time.
