Hi just seen this:

looks a pretty promising rifle series with the basic design of the M4 which HK has improved by getting rid of some of the flaws in the rifle.

It's certainly an improvement over the original design, but I don't see why you'd take this over a G36, AUG, or some other newer assault rifle unless you were trained on AR-15 series weapons.

H&K is being sued by Colt over the design of this rifle. Colt is contracted by the Federal Government to produce M4 Carbines.

Isn't Colt trying to sue Barrett also?

No, Barrett doesn't call there rifle a M4. H&K did when they tried selling it in the States. HThat's why H&K is being sued. M4 is copy righted by Colt.

That's why they changed the name to HK416, then?

I know the Barrett upper is called M468, and it's just about my favorite version of the AR-15 series in existance.
