Hi Ladyhawk,

ArmyMom here I just saw this thread & thought I'd stop & say hi to you here since you were nice enough to welcome me in my thread.

That's great that your son already knows what he wants to do. My son kept going back & forth with army/navy full/reserves and what not. He made his decision the day after his 18th birthday (10/3) and I watched him sign in and leave on OCt 27th. Bam! Just like that! At least I got to see him at Christmas for excodus.
Good luck to your son I feel that all young men & women who join the Military in any capacity deserve respect. I am not excluding anyone in any age group but it is rare in this day and age that a 17 & 18 yr olds have any clue to what they want.

welcome to the forums

im 15 and i know that i want to join the Marine Corps, known it for a while because since my great-grandfather was in the marines, every guy in our family has been in for a little while, not staying in for a career or anything, but i feel its my duty to carry on the tradition
