| Tribunus Laticlavius | Depends what you want to use it for. The X1400 is a cut down version of the X1600. If your just doing homework, surfing the net, etc... Its fine. However Gaming on a laptop is never a thrilling experience unless you've got one of the extremist laptops, like Alienware. But those are very pricey ($4000+). Not worth it IMHO. Alienware does sell a middle of the road gamer laptop at $1300, but still I would build a awesome desktop for that amount of scratch. I would need to see it drop another $300-$400 before I tested the waters. There is another solution: It will be out later this year, but you could try ASUS's external video card. (I'd wait for the reviews first). But basically as I tell everybody. If you can forgo the mobility of a laptop, get a desktop instead. If your worried about space, The make desktop cases (called micro-ATX) that are so small they are the size of a larger laptop. I have one on my desk right now. You'll get better bang for your buck.
