Topic: Help With Identitfying Old Helmet!

I am new to this and was wondering if anyone could help me out with Identitfying this helmet. I think it is WW1 but I am not sure. Thanks In Advance!!!

It looks to me like a WWII German infantry helmet, specifically an M42 steel helmet like this one.

They look the same except for the nut on the outside that holds the chin strap on...thanks for the help!

Maybe it is because the helmet is used in diffrent parts of the war Theater!
