Post; Heart Murmur

I have a question regarding heart murmurs. I found out I have an "innocent heart murmur" a few months ago.
Here's a link that exlpain what an innocent heart murmur is.

Would this disqualify me from joining the Corps?
Thanks,
Lamm

You need to speak with a Medical Officer, but I know several Marines who served and had murmurs.

He should be able to find out if he doesn't. However I would get your Dr to document the condition and present him with the paperwork.

Roger, I asked my Doc if he thought it would restrict me from joining, and he said no. He said it wasn't a big deal at all.
Thanks,

I got out of MEPS a few hours ago, found out I had a heart murmur. I have to go back in a few weeks to see their heart specialist to see if I clear for the corp.

My recruiter didn't seem to thrilled, but after reading everything I have (Spent a few hours reading everything I could on murmurs) I don't see why I should have any problems. *Knocks on wood*
