Post; I have passed assessment day!

Good news everyone!

Assessment day went well for me (Most important day for recruitment). It was long and tiring, but worth it. The first thing was a medical assessment, where they measured height, weight, test sight, hearing and so forth. But when i met a doctor, things felt degrading. The cough treatment was something that felt odd to go through but what was the weirdest thing was that i had to 'waddle' like a duck in my underwear. I believe it was to test my leg strength and such. Speaking of leg strength, there seems to be a complication. It was something i didn't notice until now, but didn't worry me, however the doctor was concerned. The doctor moved my left leg up and down when i was lying on a bed. For some reason my hip always makes a clicking noise when that is done. Unfortunatly i was told to see a Orthopedic civilian doctor just to check it out (A civilian one). He told me its likely nothing bad since it doesn't hurt, nethertheless he wants to be sure that its nothing that would degrade performance in the military.

The psychology examination was straight forward, nothing went wrong, just some simple questions about family and being away from them. What i found funny is when the defence interviewer who is a warrant officer walked into the room where all the recruits, including me were and yelled out loud "alright, who is the armour enthusiast here"? I just placed my hand high in the air and said "That will be me" with a smile. The interview went well, just he wanted me to be a little more direct with questions. Overall he was satisfied with what i have said and recommended me into all three preferences in the army, which are M113 crewman, ASLAV Crewman and Leopard MBT crewman. So at the end, i walked with him to the reception and everyone congratulated me there.

Im pleased that everything went well but its annoying how i have to see some specialist for bone joints.

I will bring the BBQ and a few beers if it will help.

No point in going to a beach without the essentials.

Might want to ammend that to Abrams crewman. Remember the leopards are being mothballed as we speak.
