Unknown gunmen killed two Iraqi policemen Sunday when they fired on their
patrol on the northern outskirts of Baghdad, on the road to the town of
Taji, a security official said.

In another attack, a roadside bomb exploded next to an Iraqi army patrol in
central Baghdad's Al-Shaab stadium, wounding two soldiers and a civilian,
the official said.

Insurgents have managed to carry out attacks in Baghdad despite a massive
security crackdown since mid-June.
