I have deer whistles on the jeep, trust me either they don't work or that deer was deaf.

Just some intel for everyone. Having worked deer vs auto accidents. And having had my fair share of bambi bolting out in front of me.

9 times out of 10 a deer will run back the direction it came from. So if you spook one crossing the road he will double back and run directly in front of you.

Yep, and if it's a fawn it might jump out of the way, then back into the way, then back out of the way.

Bucks will jump in front of you too around here, there was another deer strike by a guy that works in the same yard I do, a 4 point, went across in front of him, doubled back and took off a '78 Chevy's front end.
