Navy football is awesome as it is, but I think if they recruited a few speed players and started running a I- form, or Wing T they could contend in a few years as a National Champ, but as it is now, unless something changes they are only going to go 8-4 or maybe 9-3. Granted Navy uses its players wisely, i mean look at candetto, and polanco, and who can forget Kyle Eckel, I mean put him blocking in a I-form You can almost smell the trophy, too bad he didn't go to the NFL, the steelers would probaly picked him up if he was smart.

I think the problem Navy has is the same one that all the academies have. Their players have to meet the military's height weight restrictions just like any other cadet. A distinct disadvantage in a sport of huge men. All the more credit when they succeed.

Eckel is in the NFL. i saw him in a patriots preseason game. he looks pretty good. i compare him a lot to Mike Alstott.
