| Tribunus Laticlavius | I read the lawsuit, Gibson claim is totally without merit. In a nutshell Gibson patented a technology that allows for simulated concerts. If Activision was using a Gibson software technology (or a copy of it) for their Rock Star game then perhaps the patant violation might be warrented. But in fact, they are not alike at all, they are too very separate products with 2 very different purposes. Gibson's software is for the testing of their (Guitar) products and Activision's product is merely for entertainment purposes only. Imagine Lockheed-Martin designing a simulator for training real F/A-18 pilots and then suing Microsoft for making Flight Simulator X. Its totally baseless suit, Guitar Hero is the best selling video game franchise after World of Warcraft, and Gibson are simply trying to dip into someone else's success.
