Post; Germany's new chancellor

How some of you might know Germany has votet a new gouverment and now has a new chancellor. Angela Merkel is the first woman to become chancellor of Germany.
I would be interested to hear what you know and think about her or her predecessor.

Nothing has come out of her new government yet!

Give it a bit time and we'll see if it is not a typical European government!

She sounds like she wants to strengthen ties with America. But who knows until she has been in office for a while?

What are her opinions of the war in the Middle East. Will Germany deploy the Bundesheer in response to the current military and political alliance to the US?

She has made very clear that there will be no Bundeswehr (not to be confused with Bundesheer, the Austrian Army) deployment in Iraq. Only a retard would have said the opposite during the elections campaign of course, but she even said it after the elections, so this statement does have some truth-value.

Only time will tell. But it would be nearly impossible for her to not be a vast improvement over her utterly corrupt predecessor.
