That blog site that had the $9600 figure was only off by $200. It seems the suit costs $9400. If that dragon scale armor costs $5,000, its possible for this armor system to cost over 9 grand.

Remember, this thing uses a lot of technology. Each plate has something like 28 layers of kevlar. Google "Cupola Protective Ensemble" and see for your self.
