First,I am a chinese student in US..I come here by chance.

I have seen lots guys has the idea that china is really an old fashioned
country. From my 25 years in china,I dare to say that, china is a
rapidly changing country.

Yeah,it is true that the freedom of speech is very limited in the past ,
also the internet use, but now, the government is trying to reform
and eradicate the corruption of the communist party.

Frankly speaking,I do not like communist too,but CHINA is
a communist country IN NAME,.the economic structure is very
like that of the "western country".Also,I think the corruptionness
is a popular illness of every government, since the human's instinct
for money,power and sex.

I know the situation is getting better and China is on it's way to free market economy and has opened it's markets and borders for foreing companies. China is full of possiblities if the progress goes on and without any wars with anyone.

My business teacher tells us stories all the time about when he was teaching in China. He says, like you do, that things are improving over there. But he also said that police and military forces over there still have a free reign.

I would like to ask you a question ironface. Since you have actually lived in China and the US, you know more about American and Chinese differences than most people on this forum.

What is your feelings on freedom of speech in the United States?

I ask this because a member from China said that protests were a complete waste of time because they accomplish nothing.

I agree with you on the corruption bit. All governing bodies have corruption in one form of another. History definitely proves this point.

How much does the Chinese government cencor? I was looking up an interview of a Chinese fella' who was saying the bad things of China, on the internet, and now is trying to flee the country for... well I forgot, but it was something about he was saying bad stuff about China. Oh well, I am sure it is gettin much better. Unlike North Korea.
