Flying Fortress captured

After the Allies captured west Africa following Operation Torch a flying route to get planes to Europe was established US-Brazil-Morocco-UK. The Brittany Peninsula juts out quite a way west and knowing navigation was inexact the Luftwaffe set up a fake RAF base to lure in lost aircraft. A number were captured, some being used by Squadron 200 with German markings. Hadn't heard of Japanese use, but probably ones captured in the Philippines.

Three were captured intact in the Philippines and sent to Japan for evaluation.
