| Centurion | helicopters have ships they can land on...and they can fly enough, and the CH-53 can do mid-air refueling. so it can fly as far as it wants'

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | A lot of this depends just where you live and what your needs are, in Canada with all those lakes they are very useful things to have around, yet in other parts of the world they would not be so useful.

| Primus Pilus | Depends...if you need to fly fast, not a good idea. If you just need regional heavy-lift with water-landings, they're still a decent way to travel.

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | I often wonder that if the Spruce Goose had been used at the end of the war and during the peace time if it might have changed the out look on Sea planes |

| Primus Pilus | I would say it depends on the geography of a country. for countries such as the seychellses, bahamas etc. they are probably very useful as not all the islands are big enough to have a landing strip on so sea planes would be useful as they can carry more than most helicopters, but for other countries without much water they are practically useless. |
