| Milforum Moderator   | in todays world no school would take the responsibilty for insurance purposes...  the first pistol i fired was a copy of the baretta 950. It belonged to my mom and it was one of the cutest little things i ever fired:  The first rifle i fired was the classic M1 Carbine, as part of civil guard training. i really liked shooting it and even now when i compare to several assault rifles i have fired since(AK,Galil, M16,M4):

Many New Zealand schools have rifle and pistol teams (They are slowly becoming more popular), the only thing holding back more of them is the availability of ranges to shoot at. The High School I attended had Pistol, Target and Black Powder teams/clubs the latter is where I built my first Black Powder Mortar in metal shop. For the most part these clubs are more popular in urban areas, probably because rural areas are more into hunting and grow up with firearms. As far as first firearms go my first one was a Russian Model 1938 Carbine.

I dont now is marks. good idea, when we have a lot s of violence in today schools. My lessons was to confused i was 15, or 16 i can t remember, and suddenly we learn abot landmines, we have it, not real ones in classrom. So we learned, who are ours enemyes, i think even how to plant IED, crazy. -Don t take your gunns to town-, like Cash song. Stay well! |

My country are, poisoned with gunns and ammo, still you can find 60mm mortar, or even antiaircraft guns, from people who hide it, after war end, so be clever , no gunns to schools. Even 60 km from Croatian capitol , are still minefields, and people get killed.  |
