They don't effect law abiding people. Law abiding people can still own a weapon, just need to get a license. Not that hard.

In some places in the USA, law abiding citizens don't need any permits. We have the legal right to own firearms. Also in some places in the USA (NEW YORK CITY), the folks that wish to own and carry firearms cannot because of the permit system. Unless they can "prove" that they need a firearm they cannot own or carry one. ("Prove" means that they are well connected with money)

The 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the United States of America gives the people to own and carry firearms. That right there is the only permit that is needed....

I don't live there, I also consider that to be dangerous. Just because they are law abiding doesn't mean they know how to handle firearms. There's seemingly also a differance from place to place. Considering that your view on gun control is not the same as the Swedish said "gun control".
