"From Russia With Love", and "Dr. No." There is a TV channel here in town that is "Spike TV" and it plays James Bond movies over and over. This Christmas, there is a week non stop of 007. I read all of the books while on guard duty in the Army. When I saw the first movie, I knew that Sean Connery was "THE" James Bond from then on.

From Russia With Love... absolute classic for Bond, Sean and a good movie that shows a lot of the cold war stereotypes.

Ian Fleming said that to automatically communicate virtues of courage and integrity he simply made James Bond a Navy Officer (rank of Commander).

Not surprised.
