Someone was talking about cheap immitations of the F-16 and F-18. Look up the A-1 Ching-kuo, a fighter jet from Taiwan. It looks like a single tailed F-18.

I'm going to go with the F-18, 2xCrew, 2xEngines, larger airframe,more endurance more ability to be up-graded. Reason why F-16 is more numerous? cheaper to build , cheaper to maintain , cheaper aircrew cost's within price range of most european airforces & not to mention asian budgets. Quite capable but not as sophisticated as F-18.
