| Centurion | Post; East German jeepSomeone help me! I'm pretty sure the East German 5-ton vehicle of choice during the 80's was a W-5, but I can't clearly remember what we called the jeeps the border troops drove. For some reason both P-3 and Robar come to mind, but I'm not sure which, if either, are correct. Thanks.

| Nuclear Duck Hunter ![]() | I know Robur was a soviet bloc vehicle, but they usually made fire trucks and buses. A lot of bodies were put on Robur frames. Here is a Trabant which was the common East German car/army vehicle. ![]() |

| Optio | Well the P3 was one of the Jeeps the border troops used. Another one was the UAZ 469: ![]() Before that the GAZ 69 was used: ![]() The Trabant 601A (called Kübel or Stoffhund) wasn't a jeep at all: ![]() The W50 was, as you said, a 5 ton vehicle: ![]() The Robur was a 3,5 ton vehicle. ![]()
